Bodegas Chavarri, Valle de Orón 2020

Established in 1882 by Francisco Chavarri, Bodegas Chavarri are today still owned and operated by his decedents. The oldest winery in the Rioja Alavesa, their knowledge and passion for the land is second to none. Valle de Orón 2020 is made from 100% Tempranillo taken from a vineyard in San Martin de Rubiales, Ribera del Duero, from vines at least 30 years old. The grapes were harvested and aged for 3 months in American oak. Deep ruby in colour, the nose exhibits classic varietal character of strawberries and blackberries. Round and silky on the palate with notes of liquorice and damsons. Serve with cured meats and stews.
